Hey friends I am Jason Salley welcome Back and today I want to talk about the Humble Poncho one of the most versatile Pieces of kit that you can put into your Pack and I absolutely love them I'm a Big big fan of the Poncho it is the Easiest and the quickest way to protect Yourself from the rain or any other Element something might be coming down Obviously on a day like today it's not That necessary other than maybe perhaps For some shade which it could be used For that too but I can throw it on much Much quicker and take it off much much Quicker than I can a rain jacket and Rain pants a rain jacket all by itself Is really no good because my pants are Going to get completely soaked my boots Are going to get wet putting on rain Pants is kind of a pain in the neck Um but I'm 510 and as you can see this Poncho gives me ample coverage and if I Wear tall boots like I typically do These rubber boots the rain is going to Shed off and not go down into my boots And it works perfectly for me and that's One of the reasons why it's my preferred Um rain gear Alan and I took the opportunity on a Really nasty rainy day a week ago to set Up a couple different types of shelters And the Poncho really shines in that Area because you can set up a one-man a Two-man shelter in all kinds of
Different variations and they can be set Up really fast and they can be taken Down really really fast and that is kind Of where they shine easy to stow away in A pack and I'm just a big big believer Um for that reason we used it also as a Rain catch which you'll see And we could collect buckets of rain Water with a poncho in a very very short Period of time depending on how much It's raining but enjoy the video guys Um and I'll check back in with you [Applause] [Applause] Foreign Those are good tosses look at that Smells precision [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Foreign Yeah that's true [Applause] Do it Oh Yeah That looks good I need to fix this side over here so it Reduces it reduces your overall surface Area but it definitely blocks the back From wind yeah Colder Weather much more
