Foreign [Music] Blanket that's perfect good looking Shirt right there All right Are you bringing the code oh yeah I'm Gonna be prepared I don't like getting cold You know Despite popular beliefs Thank you so much you're welcome the Magnifying glass is going to be a game Changer we got some good stuff Foreign Magic shoes They could take me anywhere [Music] My friends the 20 Thrift Shop Challenge The challenge is to put together a Survival kit not just a survival kit but All the clothing that you're going to be Wearing on the adventure as well so We're going to spend roughly a 24 hour Period in the winter time in the woods With whatever we can scrounge up from The local thrift shop I came up with this really cool metal Container says sugar right on it sugar Rad on it and I thought that was really Handy it's got a nice lid on it and I Kept the bags from the thrift shop as Well I thought those might be come in Handy because they were free but I got This container for one dollar and I Could boil water in that make myself
Some tea whatever my might wash it out First I've got myself a blade look at this guy It's a stainless steel kitchen knife Basically and it's fairly sharp believe It or not Um I'll probably touch it up just a Little bit and I need to figure out some Sort of sheath type mechanism I did not Get a sheath from the store I forgot About it actually so I might cheat a Little bit and create myself some sort Of safe way to carry this thing before I Head off into the woods I got some cordage I got this really Nice pink string it was slim pickings as Far as cordage goes not a lot of Paracord and stuff going around so I got This pink string here that looks fairly Strong and then a whole bunch of thread 50 yards of of smaller diameter thread Candles so I figured you know once I get A fire going or maybe these can help me Get a fire going in conjunction with This score right here a magnifying glass There was no lighters there was no Matches no nothing that would start a Fire with exception of this right here So if this doesn't work if it's a cloudy Crappy day which it very well might be This time of year I'm going to have to Resort probably to a friction fire which Is going to be a pain in the neck so I'm Hoping that it's sunny and I can use
This and possibly even be able to ignite One of these candles with my magnifying Glass we shall see Scored an emergency blanket first Responder blanket right there A metal pot Big score And then my shelter is an umbrella I Thought perfect this was only I think I Think I paid two dollars for this and I Thought what better shelter than an Umbrella right and they didn't have Tarps and ponchos and all that and Tents And all those types of things and even If they did it probably cost more than a Couple bucks so I thought an umbrella That's that's a big win right there and Then I've got a small fleece blanket Here It's just an extra warming layer Something to lay on something to wrap up In who knows [Music] Foreign Foreign It's pretty much the extent of my Equipment that's all I could come up With for 20 bucks and that was pretty Slim pickings at thrift shop for as far As year goes so I'm just gonna have to Make do Um clothing that's your number one Source of shelter and I think I don't Know but I think I nailed it look I know
What you're thinking you're gonna be Like how are you gonna keep the ladies Off of you you know what I mean and I Know it's going to be challenging it's Going to be tough most of the views on This video are probably gonna be from The ladies just checking out what I've Got going on here I found this really Awesome hat all terrain trucks because You know I like trucks and the only Thing better than a truck is an All-terrain truck and plus this hat is My favorite color camouflage My turtleneck was a big win a huge win Oh and and also in addition to this hat I picked up picked up a couple more Layers that I didn't show you yet I got This really nice knit cap And then I've got this this pair of Sweatpants this fleece pair of pants That I could put on underneath my slacks To get me warm while I'm sleeping at Night [Music] Foreign Carry that all day I do stuff like this Why you know I have fun with these types Of challenges I I enjoy these things I Like I like testing my skills and I like You know having a good time while doing It um and I I just it makes you think Outside the box it makes you be creative It allows you to use that part of your Brain that gets neglected a lot the
Problem solving part of the brain Everything's so easy we could I mean Going out into the woods with all your Gear and hammocks and Tents and tarps And all the fire starting doodads and The proper clothing and things I mean That's all that's all great but it's Comfy and cozy relatively and it just it Doesn't require a challenge it's not an Adventure unless it's unless there's Some difficulty implied unless something Goes wrong and by Uh artificially creating the hardship You know artificially handicapping Yourself in a way where you you're Limited to the twenty dollars that you Can buy your gear at the thrift shop Including your clothing Um I think it just makes it a little bit More interesting it makes an adventure Where there otherwise it'd just be a Camping trip and that's why I really Enjoy these types of uh activities so uh Look forward to that so um this weekend I'm going to be heading out and we'll be We'll be spending a full day a night and Then part of the next day out into the In the woods and So windy outside today I was trying to Film outside but it's just not it's not Possible the audio would have been The whole time it would have sounded Like this Oh
