On today's episode of survival dispatch Reviews we're checking out the Berna Ballista pack [Music] All right guys so the equipment you just Saw in the opening of the video is a Piece of equipment that could possibly Save your life and we're talking about The Burna ballista pack backpack now This backpack has built in 3A body armor What's 3A mean means it'll protect you For handgun calibers up to 44 Magnum With 3A rated armor now this is nij Rated armor this is the same type of Armor same type of rating I should say That police officers carry this is the Uh composite hard plate and it's not Very heavy by the way it is composite It's a ceramic composite goes in the Back portion of the backpack this Particular plate is a 10 by 12 but it Will also accept 11 by 14 if you want Even more coverage so you also have 10 By 12 coverage in the front uh you see That I'm gonna go ahead and deploy it For you here and open it up And you can see what I've got on mine is The Berna SD less lethal pistol we'll Talk about that a little more later but What I do want to point out are some of The awesome features of the ballista Pack So you notice I had my Berna SD less Lethal pistol mounted to the front
Armored portion of the ballista pack With these Molle attachments if you've Never used Molly Molly is a very simple Um uh tool that you use to attach Equipment to your kit kit meaning a term Of equipment that you're going to have On yourself and Molly simply uses these Slots here and you can see I'll remove This pistol from this holster here you See it has these two little Molly uh Teeth here that slide right down into These slots and then snap into place and Are really handy you know you could Attach a lot of stuff this you could Attach a pistol holster an ifac Individual first aid kit a tourniquet a Light uh tool a small tool kit Communication devices all kinds of stuff So I really like the Molle feature of The ballista pack now these are simply Velcro straps that velcro to themselves Behind you you if you just want to be a Little more stable here and prevent it From moving around anytime you put body Armor on or if you're going to fit this Ballista pack to yourself you need to Make sure that it is high enough To protect at the top of the sternum and Doesn't sit so low that it hits yourself In the belt All right so it's just as easy to put it All back together and prepare for Redeployment and you can see I have my Little Keepers stuffed back in these
Little pockets here that's a little Waste keeper that goes behind your waist And velcro is behind your back to keep It all stable all we're going to do is Simply Shove it back down into the large Compartment of the ballista pack this is The deployment handle so you need to Make sure this is sticking out the top And one more really cool feature is the Fact that this actually has some Magnetic closures you can see there Which just make things really handy and Convenient and you got a little bit of Velcro going on make sure your handle's Sticking out And you're ready to go now this actually Is a backpack meaning it does actually Have some storage compartments for your Goodies here's an external storage Compartment you got some Velcro on the Inside you've got an internal Compartment as well here is a larger Compartment this one's actually big Enough to get a laptop in uh you could Probably pack your lunch in here it's Got several internal pockets as well and You have some pockets on the side for Comms or water bottles or whatever you Like as always we'll have a link below So you can check out all the details and Features of the burner ballista pack and It's a piece of equipment that we really Like
