All right welcome back to SOS I'm ba uh I'm gonna be working on another sheath Right now I'm about to start and these Projects take a very long time because Everything's different than everybody Else uh you know you could just get any Kind of thing offline that's just a taco Shell folded thing with a knife in it You know but I like making these knife Sheaths that are very survival Is kind of Doomsday Preparedness a whole other level of Crazy when I make my sheets and Everything's one off someone will Contact me and say hey can you make this Really weird thing and sure I can make This really weird thing for you and uh I Have something in this box from Ontario Knife Company I'm about to share with You guys It's like that movie Seven what's in the Box I'll share in just a second the Marine Corps has this program it's a a jungle Environment survival training it's the Kind of the shirt I'm wearing right now It has a picture of a knife there and You're probably wondering what's that All right so let's let's reveal the Knife this is the knife I'm going to be Using Comes in this box I like dragging this out it comes in This box
That's the sheath That is for this knife this is this is a Very very very nice sheath but I need to Make it different Nice snaps that's a nice Flip to it don't worry mine will have That too But this is their blade Now that That's a knife right there Now that is 100 percent Made in the USA Freaking look at the thickness on that Bad boy Dude Insanity nice grip like that like the Ridges Scott ridges I always like to talk about These sorts of things nice little Finger stops Good load of Mercy Yeah and that does not have any kind of Hollow Grind in it you can see for Yourself it's a very nice blade This will definitely This would kill it anyway this is Important fire so let me get started Kick this thing off and share this is The bolo the SP 53 bolo if you're Wanting this and this only goes to eight It's beyond 12 For blade length so it's a 12 by the 12 Inch blade
Uh I think it's about 11.5 or something Like that and Your base here your handle is nice at Five inches really nice uh so I'm going To give out the little details of that This is going to take up a lot of Leather so I've got to lay out something Here and kind of draw it out and make Sure that I'm prepared for a double Layer so I'm going to have to double Layer and it's going to have to have a Blade stop uh that's a really crazy Blade but it's gonna have to have a Blade stop where you can pull through uh I'm not doing any openings in the back Like some sheets I'll do whereas Openings and then you pull the blade out Like this I'm just going to go straight Through I think this is the most Accurate way to do this and very Rambo Uh Rambo slash Commando slash uh Um Super Troopers I don't know I don't Know When I start these projects I just have To simulate ideas and I spend most of my Time figuring out what's going to be Next I'm gonna I spent an entire day Making a hexagon fail rod with a fat Wood handle because fat wood you carved This off and You have an epic fire This stuff is great great for making Fires and in conjunction with one Another you've got yourself and every
Every one of these usually start off Really good when I cut myself Anyway that's what I'm going to be using I still have to make the pace counter And everything for that I always do Custom everything and then I wanted to incorporate all these things This is a water filtration system and I'm going to incorporate that I know You're wondering how how is he going to Do it and it's going to look like just a Knife sheath uh compass that I wanted to Incorporate I wanted to be able to get That to go in next somewhere uh Packaging for my 10 that will house Little pieces of gear I started to use Something small I couldn't make my mind Up and I made a template these are just Templates I keep all these little tins Just to make templates for housing I Haven't decided on what I'm doing with This yet first off I have to get started On the sheath itself so I'm going to Have to come up with a design that fits Everything I'm fitting on it Oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] Thank you [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music]
[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music] Kind of in brainstorming mode right now I've got these Placed and stitched and I went ahead and Did my Snaps before I put everything Together otherwise I can't get my Snaps In there like I said you don't want to Paint yourself in a hole I've got this made And I still have to tack that down and I'll show you what I'm doing with that In a minute Uh artwork this still has to dry the Artworks on there once this dries you'll You'll be able to see the artwork on There vaguely I've still got some more work to do with That So I'm kind of at a standstill for a few Minutes until I figure out what's next But I have to have a Uh I have to have a way to That's the bottom here's the top I've got to figure out my snap I've got to figure out the opening for The knife
Because this isn't going to be square Obviously it's going to be cut to shape And then I've got to come up I want to Come up with some kind of snap Type thing for here I just want like a Strap And I might do three straps just because I think it might look cool But I haven't decided I'm still kind of Stuck and I know I'm going to do some Kind of back here I'm going to do Something for uh hanging it off of a Belt Because that's important and that's Really all I got so I might have stand Still I'm going to figure this out and Then show you guys all right I have to Put together some kind of kits for this Thing now I've got a space that fits The person that uses this thing is going To be starting a lot of fires it's like Just throwing it out there anyway So in this this is a Smith's This is one of the fire starting Gurus here and this works really good if You've got let's see I've got a million drawers down here I'm Pretty sure I'll find something Somewhere Let's see So you've got some fat wood Foreign I collect my own fat wood so I've got Like tons of this stuff uh
Right here and you just All right just a little bit see that Nice isn't it anyways this comes in Handy right So I'm not gonna need to pack that Because I can find more of it Um I did think this was neat and I Wanted to put A whole slew of stuff here just kind of Throwing stuff out it's like hey I Wonder what I'm going to put in this Thing there's some snare wire Got some snare wire I found some little Snare Those work really good with the snare Wire right So I pulled these off of I've got those Survival cards I've seen survival cards Let me show you in case you haven't seen One Nice survival cards like these look at All your little stuff in them anyway uh No one sponsors me I just buy this stuff So I can build kits anyway uh so all These little items got a fork comes in Handy it's pretty thin it'll fit right In my thing and then I've got Plenty of Fish Hooks needles you know Essential things you're probably going To need I'm going to go gigging you can Gig with this it's a nice gigging tool Just things I might need and There's some snare water and got this uh
Ranger band cut from a bike inner tube I can use to close this up I thought This was neat it's a water filter from Front Frontier now this filters out Pretty much everything so all you do Here I thought this was neat see that There's your water filter now I have a Water filter with me I don't have to Make one or anything I can just use this So I'm going to incorporate that into This you're wondering how this is going To fit I won't need this this is a macro Magnesium block Oh man I know I have one like Right here Anyways in case I don't find it let's Just say let's just pretend I did find It Wouldn't it be nice if I just had it Right here in my hand and I could just Show it to you Man I've seen those all the time anyway Uh but that's for a magnesium block you Take a drill and you just drill out your Magnesium block that you would get from Like the camping section at Walmart I Drill this out and I make this little Pouch And in case you don't want to use that You could just use like These guys here this is from uh That's just from SOS survival kits They have these guys
And it's the same thing but it's more Condensed There's how many you think I'm going to Need all right that'll work Yes I got a whole bunch of these I like These they'll burn through a 2×4 just One of those Far far capsules they'll burn straight Through too but no kidding uh Arkansas Sharpener I I had I saved that I just I Like to give a name drop I filed this Down so that it would fit In My tree here Look at this Look now it's a sharpener And it's get it you know what they make Sharpeners all right There's that I wanted to do matches I'm Gonna put this matches up I got a whole Bunch of stuff here I got water Purification tablets and Uh you ever lit a guitar pick on fire They are burn insane but anyways you Don't have to burn the whole thing but If you burn the whole thing it's like Napalm but Just get yourself uh some good guitar Picks and you can take these and put Them in your wallet everybody will think You're uh images musician Anyways but this stuff here Um you just break off a little bit shave Off a little bit of it and then strike
It and anyways Another thing you didn't probably know I Did a video on that a while back many Many moons ago that stuff's works really Good I've seen that many times this Fire tape And then I've got some of this stuff Here Very useful stuff this is more it's like A wax paper I always tear off slivers of It and Start fires with it I had some left over I don't like using old uh new stuff if I've got all the old stuff So I'm just gonna Gather up what I have here There's some Aqua tabs Some Band-Aids I'm gonna probably need Those big Band-Aid I'm not going to need Ah I might need that let's keep it over There for a sec And then there's your bite Alcohol prep pad might come in handy Double tap might help me sleep Down there a little bandage and then Move these out of the way This is a another wax fire starter from Black Sheep Use that guy there Uh Matches I want to see if I can get these in here
Because I think I can Because this has a striker in it as well I'm just using it as this extra It's going to be my extra And these will come in handy I wanted a Mega fire kit dude just something crazy In this kit I wanted to get really crazy with it I'm just sort of gathering those in There And then we'll see how my backing fits On here still Looks like it's still fitting I need to get that backwards There it is nice Now I can take this Those are strike anywhere matches but You guys know how those work sometimes And they don't And then you get angry Go ahead and put that in there Look at that hahaha like a glove Isn't that cool Sharpener and extra fire kit Get that out of the way Got a Gerber knife here Super knife it's got a flat head Phillips file you name it anyways bottle Opener in case there's a I don't know Right And this 10 second better days I think I Use a different tin let's just use this One here this is from another random
Company I just I'm just going to use the 10 something came in Uh Survival saw Let's do that let's do a survival saw Let's do I'm gonna do some bandages too that's What I'm gonna go with I'm not going to Use the waterproof matches I started to That's going in it Um I need to seal up my water filter so I Have another little bag here It's going to seal that up in that Keep it safe And dry that's cool So now Well I had it sealed anyway So I've got That sealed up it works that's all in One kit that goes part of one section Here you actually check this out It should fit perfect I don't know if I want to crab it in There or not Let's get that guy in there All the way down you go I had a little Bit of extra room I did it on purpose Just in case I wanted to shove something Else in there along the way On your adventure you know This just goes right in there Look at that nice and neat and close That up
There's so much to this story let me Tell you A nice snap I like that that means it Works now I got this guy here I thought this was Neat I gotta pack some extra batteries Probably it takes those 20 27s or Whatever they are so you know the round Ones but This thing is cool all right I couldn't See myself putting it on a watch it Looked really silly on a watch it looks Silly on everything but it's very bright And I just wanted to have it and if I Don't want it I just pop it off and You're done but Just like that I know it's On there I like the straps this this strap here Actually you can take it off or it goes Down and it works as your leg strap Goes and then just flips that way Uh This is the kit I'm putting together Right now I've got to get that thing put Together so far so good it's all going Together so great survival saw and Everything's in there Nuts I'm gonna try and squeeze this in There it's like Really pushing it I think I might put this part here Extra fire I like all that extra stuff it doesn't
Weigh very much Wow It's all in there Even through like a little caffeine pill In there Yeah I know you don't want to go Draining all your fluids out It's kind of a diuretic so To be careful with that And the Paracord that I'm going to be Using has fishing line and snare wire And fire cord it's all that stuff I mean It'll help you last a few more days At least that way you're not digging up All your resources you know You don't want to use up all your Resources when you're when you're doing Your stuff Is this a go right here Actually I had a plan for that that's Right what am I doing I'm getting caught A hit caught up this guy here And this goes like this For a minute let's just put it here And then let's utilize our cord As our emergency pull In case it's having trouble getting out That happens You can't get the pouch out fast enough Or you're like injured And she like hurt your arm or hand or Something Maybe you lost both your hands and all You have is your feet
I know someone just shakes their head When I start talking about stupid Like that it's like this guy he is lost As well all right there's that Let's just put that where it goes Tug on that There we go Make sure it opens up nice and neat I'll fix this in a minute Try to close it over first This goes right in there I mean I'm just Trying to be all nitpicky I'm just Tucking it in there more than it needs To be Not really The deal Yeah there you go it's in there we go Now we've got our full survival gear and A real compass Not one of them cheap ones right gotta Have the real deal railroad boy it took Forever to make this thing the hexagon These are cool and I got a scraper for It Someone complained last time I didn't Put a Scraper on this thing I I don't Think I'm I'm not putting the scripture On that it doesn't need a scraper you Have a knife use that The kids are always messing with my Stuff you see what they did Insanity like most dads would lose their Mind with this I'm just I'm good I I've Got some right here
Dude what the heck are you guys doing Because it it wasn't like that I don't know why that's in there anyway Back to work So we need to do a pace count on here That's all I'm gonna do And uh let's see which way do I want Just to go heads up heads down I think I want it I think I want it Heads up Like that I'm gonna rig these first I'll Get these on here on the elastic runs Through here through the two holes And let's just give it a try there's Your blade And it just swings right out of the way So you can pull your blade out Pretty cool did simple snaps here uh That's so it can be tucked out of the Way because the way I designed this was So that you could run it Through if you've got a shoulder strap You can run it through a shoulder strap Over a backpack like a well it's Crossbody kind of foraging things uh Like one of those EDC bags you can kind Of cross body this Over you and keep it kind of in the Front Like that That's kind of how I did that Nice and simple Anyways I gotta take it out in the light I gotta get a better view of it because
It's really hard to tell you know this Was not a fun project because it was so Much work and it was just so much moving Stuff around like from left to right and Getting it lined up and these are not Easy especially when they're these these Huge complicated projects where you want A lot of stuff going on with them It made it really hard It's pretty cool though I'm digging it Just sort of moving it around staring at It all right I'll take it outside and Look at it oh I think it turned out all Right it's pretty crazy looking This thing is enormous you got to keep In mind it is a Around 11.5 inch blade and To make a sheath for something like that It's pretty insane in itself and then to Add Uh a uh What would you call this a get out of Dodge Get out of Dodge Knife I'm going to call it the Doomsday It's the Doomsday knife definitely a Doomsday sheath I mean it's literally like taking your Home with you just grab this At your house everything you need right There All right I appreciate you guys watching And uh please like share subscribe if
