The nitecore p23i tactical flashlight Let's check it out [Music] [Music] [Music] Thank you Light is your number one security Tool Uh it illuminates the dark and having an EDC light's great but having a tactical Flashlight is capable of really high Performance whether it's in your pocket Or as a weapons light now this is the Nitecore p23i it's a tactical flashlight Has a rear tail switch it also has a Strobe feature that's immediate right on The back with a small lever it's that Perfect size to be able to carry for Self-defense now I've been reviewing Nightcore lights for over 11 years and I've got a number of reviews of the Nitecore it is one of my favorite lights Now I'm a big Olight guy I love olights But with a Max 3000 Lumen output and 420 Meter beam distance this is a very Capable light and so we're going to take A look at the night core we're going to Put it through a performance test we're Going to put it through torture test We're going to check out what this P23i is all about now we got the Nitecore p23i from Nate over at Gun Zone Deals and we really appreciate him Sending this light for this review all Right guys we have the nitecore
P23i this is a really high Lumen output Light it's based more on the Tactical Design rear tail switch we have a Cranulated bezel we're going to take a Look at that I love the switch system Here there's some things about this Light that I really like it's 5.65 Inches in length it's an inch here at The tube then here at the head it's 1.25 Inches it does have a hard anodized Finish on it that's military grade it is A satin finish but then here at the Front it has a matte really deep matte Finish on the bezel a lot of texturing In here it gives it good strength easy To hold fits right in your hand and it Makes a great flashlight but it also Makes an excellent impact weapon for Self-defense And having a tool like that is really Vital flashlights you use more than any Other tool for self-defense and so it's Great to have a good flashlight in your Pocket that extends past your hand but The big thing about this light is a 3000 Lumen light and we go to Turbo so here On the end you have a pressure pad Switch and then you have a mode paddle And this also functions as a immediate Strobe paddle and we'll look at that in A second but if I just Light press I go To the 3000 lumens I mean this thing is Crazy bright the camera will adjust so When it first comes on and we'll take a
Look at it outside in a couple of Minutes but also here at the paddle I Can just press it and it goes straight To strobe and that's also 3000 lumens But let's go ahead and turn our light on We've got 3000 lumens and this is in the Daily mode there's also a tactical mode And I'll show you the difference in a Second so when we hit the paddle it goes Down to 50 lumens and that is the lowest Setting for this light and then the next Time we hit the paddle it goes is up to 250 hit it again it goes up to 800. hit It again it goes to 1500 and then if you Press and hold it goes straight to the Turbo setting and so it has five Different Lumen outputs but also if you Press it goes back to the setting that You originally had when you shut the Light off and it does have a memory Setting one of the things about the Tactical setting is it doesn't have that Memory because it's more tactical it Wants to give you that bright light First thing now to change the mode to The Tactical mode or vice versa to go Back to daily you want to hit the strobe Switch and then turn it And it blinks twice and then bring it Back You want to keep pressing that strobe Button the whole time Once it blinks twice when you click it On now we're going to the 3000 lumens
Immediately and that's just pressing the Pressure pad switch But if we press it and then we press it Again we go down to the 1500 down to the 800 down to 250 and then down to 50. and So it goes in the opposite direction but The one thing is with that tail switch When you hit it it always goes straight To 3000 lumens then the thumb pad right There that is your instant strobe so it Goes straight to strobe or straight to Turbo and so that is going to run your Battery down and it's going to make it Hot but it does go down in Lumen output In fact it'll stay on the turbo mode for About 30 minutes but it'll get really Hot it just kind of gradually goes down In lumens and that's what most of your Modern flashlights do because it will Damage the interior of the light And that's called the ATR for advanced Temperature regulation you notice right Here on the side when we cut the light On it turns blue and that lets you know That the light is fully charged when it Starts to Blink is when you need to Recharge your battery now there is a Boot Right here and you lift that boot it's a Deep seated boot which I really like and This uses a type c USB and it does come With the cable and you can just plug This in it has a non-domed Loomis sft70 LED and then it has a very high polished
Reflector that's really deep it'll give You 470 meters of throw now it has a Strike bezel and you'll notice there are Three points they are smooth to the Touch but they will break glass and That'll keep you from tearing up your Pack this is a high hardness silicon Nitrate ceramic and so it just gives you A soft feel to it and yet it's very Effective here we have standouts that Protect you from inadvertently hitting The light but it also allows for a Lanyard Loop to go through which they do Include a lanyard with the light but Also this allows this to stand up on its Tail cap it'll stand on the tail cap But it'll also stand on the bezel and While it is cylindrical there are points That make it stop from just rolling off Your table The battery is a 21 700 I lithium ion Battery it's actually 11 percent higher Lumen output than your standard 18650 And it's 5 000 milliamps and here you Can see the electronic contact points Very well done The battery has anti-impact reverse Polarity protection and what that does Is if you're firing this from a weapon It keeps the battery from bouncing back And forth and really causing some issues And then we just put this back in very Nice threads Tightens down the light weighs 4.04
Ounces it's 2 meter impact resistant and It's ip68 water resistance up to two Meters of water now let's take it out And we're going to test it out the Impact resistance we're going to check The water resistance and the Waterproofing and we're going to see how It holds up and we're also going to Check the beam distance of the strobe And we're going to see how it performs All right here we have the Nite core and This is the p23i We're going to start out with the 50 Lumens I'm telling you guys that's Pretty bright There's 50 lumens isn't bad We're going to paddle it up now we're at The 300 lumens One more time we're at the 800 lumens Now we're at 1500. very nice pinpoint Beam nice spill all the way around it Then we're going now we're at the 3000 Lumens It almost washes those trees out now it Looks a little bit better with the naked Eye a lot of detail nice light And so we're back at the 1500 and now We're back at 50. So a lot of capability I'm telling you guys that's pretty Impressive and then with the light off We go straight to strobe Man that's your 3000 lumens Anicious momentary while you're holding
It it's there let go of it and it's gone You can see the blue light and this is Your battery indicator Really shows up well Just got it on the 50 lumens here that Tree line down there is about 100 yards Off And I mean you can individually see Those trees with no problem and The Underbrush Underneath That is very impressive [Music] And that's at the 3000 lumens but not Only is that being pretty intense you've Got a lot of spill this whole area is Just lit up Foreign Test complete Foreign The p23i defeated the Jeep it comes with A sheath Just a kadura sheath drops it in velcro Closure here on the back we have a D-ring and then also we have velcro here And you can put this on your belt the Lanyard is very easy to put on and it's A neuroprene finish and it is adjustable And it also comes with a clip pop it on And now you've got a two-way clip so you Can carry this in your pocket and again You don't have to carry it with the Bezel up You can carry it also With the bezel down and that's how I
Prefer to carry it all right the Aftermath of the torture test You know obviously there's damage we Were using this and hitting it against Concrete But uh you know and the Jeep just Skidded this across the driveway so a Lot of little dings and everything but Light held up very well rubber boot Uh this is one thing I like that deep Boot I have had some that have crept out On me because water got in there but This really solidifies this port so Overall Great light still works Good stuff and it does come with a spare O-ring and that clip works really good And here we can charge the battery the S-Type USB is a really highly efficient Charging system and while it's charging You can see the blue LED flashing Once we pull it out Just goes to a solid color when you turn The light on now with the light you get The holster you get your lanyard you get Your clip you get your recharging cable You get an extra o-ring and the light And you also get a very detailed owner's Manual telling you all the specs now the Nitecore p23i runs 120 on the Gun Zone Deals website and we really appreciate The guys over at Gun Zone deals there Are also a lot of accessories that are Available whether it's the weapons Mount
The remote tail switch it has a hard Kydex type holster I mean there's a lot Of different things and so it really Makes this light very capable just gives You a lot of options there's even a Helmet mount for these lights guys again You got your EDC light that's great but Sometimes you need that performance and A good tactical light it fits so many Different roles whether in your pocket Even as a self-defense tool but it can Also be used as a weapons light with That rear tail switch you can go right To turbo and then if you need strobe You've got it right there at your thumb And the performance is just excellent And again we appreciate the guys over at Gun Zone deals for sending the nitecore P23i for this review be strong be of Good courage God Bless America long live The republic Foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] The nitecore p320i tactical flashlight Let's check it out And it makes it one of those things you Can And the P3 and the nitecore p328 But with 3 000 lumens on turbo and but With a 3000 Lumen okay but with a three Thousand lure or it can stand on the Tail cap
