We Need To Discuss This…

This is a video I feel like I need to Release every few months here on the Channel and I do so for the well-being Of my community this is going to be more Of a personal video it's not a news or a How-to video but it's more of a personal Video where I'm going to share a few my Thoughts on what I feel is a very Important subject matter I've had a few Subscribers post comments that I think Are worth reading here let me start off With one from Terry Davis she just said This hey Chris it's strange to think That I'm truly an optimist I believe and See the good in almost everything but I Have to admit this last year has been a Struggle and I'm afraid we still have Much darker times ahead I'm not sure What we can do about it except to be Ready for anything and everything thank You so much for all you and your team Does I get so much from watching your Videos take care I also had another Subscriber uh post a comment on a video Today right before I was filming I was Reading some of the comments and this Was a gentleman excuse me Alfred Estevez He said this how is everyone else Dealing with this constant onslaught of Bad news I try to keep but I feel like I'm stuck in a constant anxiety trap It's hard to relax feels like every Moment has to be filled with making Progress in my preps so having said that

I'd like to discuss these two comments In this video and try to tie this all Together in just a moment I too try when possible to be an Optimist I've shared this over the last Few years on my channel I consider Myself more of a realist acknowledging What is and trying to prepare Accordingly and as Alfredo pointed out The news everywhere has been pretty bad Overall as of late and yeah I have to Agree and yeah let me balance that by Saying not everything out there is bad There's a lot of positives in the world That I don't want to discount but we've Been in a time of massive change in the Last several years and it has obviously Made many uncomfortable in the next few Years appear to be no different really The West has namely America has defined The structure of the world since World War II and after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 America has really stood In the unique place as a soul superpower But with the recent events in Ukraine Autocrats namely Putin and G they're Beginning to contest that and so what Comes next who knows will Putin begin or Continue his war with Ukraine Moji Follow suit with his attack on Taiwan And what does that mean for the rest of The world I mean we get most of what we Have I mean everything around me in this Office in my home is from China mostly

We Outsource all of our work in these Things uh we we get back so much from These places that we may soon be going Head-to-head with and I'm not sure if China will make the move to Taiwan or on Taiwan rather but it appears that this Is a real possibility and what that Means Who knows all right it's not going to be Anything positive let's just put it that Way and things are likely Going to rapidly change and upheaval and Uncertainty will increasingly become More and more the norm I think we're getting a glimpse of that Right now of what we can expect over the Next several years and it will very Likely accelerate in this decade so Having said all that let's get to the Crux of this video I purposely titled This video we need to discuss this If you're feeling overwhelmed I would Encourage you to take a step back just Like Alfredo asked you know hey it feels Overwhelming it feels like we've got to Do this non-stop if you need to stop and Take a break I would encourage you to Stop viewing social media stop viewing The news and instead just focus on what You can do in your preparedness Journey If you say hey this month I really want To build out a three-week food pantry or A three-day food pantry maybe you're Just beginning great I've got plenty of

Videos on the channel just focus on what You can do and what you can put your Hands to let me put it that way and I Would encourage you to guard your mental Health and this is not something that's Often discussed in this community a lot I and I think it should be it's easy to Get stuck in a spiral of anxiety and Fear again as the individual commented Earlier that we can get stuck in this Loop of I feel like I got to do this I Feel like I got to be doing this if I'm Not you know then I'm going to get Behind and it's okay That you're not doing well and you're Having a hard time with all this that's A natural reaction as a human there's Nothing a shame to be said or it's not Nothing to be ashamed of to say look all Of this feels overwhelming I don't know If I can handle this and I don't really Want to engage myself mentally and There's nothing wrong with saying that That's not I don't think that's a Position of uh sticking your head in the Sand I don't think you're saying that if You want to pull back but I think it is Important that if you realize this is Overwhelming take a step back if you're In a place where you can no longer focus On the task of preparing then you're not In a healthy place and again I would Caution you to step back and to balance That if you can't even prepare because

You feel so anxious but yet you find Yourself maybe on the other end of the Extreme that preparing has taken over Your life to the detriment of your Relationships your family or your Finances you should too also consider Taking a step back in all things I've Found in life and I'm I'm 47 so maybe I have a place now where I can feel you know say I'm as I'm Getting a little older here Um I I feel like I've been through Enough in life where I've lived on Extremes and usually there's a happy Medium in most things and Finding that place is hard but when you Do it's it's it brings I don't know for Me personally it's brought Joy finding You know not living on the extremes I'll Put it this way so having said that when You find that place if that's where You're at you know and you need to take A step back for your own mental health We'll be here when you get back I'm not Going anywhere anytime soon I feel like I'm just only getting started I enjoy What I do so much with this Channel and Uh myself and other you know others in This community will still be here so let Me just share a moment from my own Personal life to try to give you Perspective on how I handle all of this I mean imagine being in my position I Have to come through various Outlets

Every day to try to determine what we're Sharing on my channel and yeah it can be A bit overwhelming and discouraging to See all the issues that are plaguing the World at this time there's a lot that I Feel that I still need to cover on this Channel to try to help people and equip And prepare you to advance in your own Journey but all that to say all I can do Is focus on my Smart small part of the World all that I can do is focus on what I have control over I don't have control Over things that are outside I enjoy Gathering the information about What's happening in the world so I can Inform and decide how I want to prepare And where I focus Um but for me personally these are Things I'm doing I'm focusing more and More I'm trying to eat healthier and Healthier cutting out sugar processed Food look you only get one body and if You don't take care of it it's going to Fail you eventually I've had a few things come up here Lately that uh again as I'm getting a Little older I've started to see some Things I hate to use the word breakdown But I begin to realize uh you know if I Don't take care of this this is going to Be a problem in the future Um I'll share with you a practical uh Story I beginning December I decide you Know what it's been a long time since

I've deadlifted and yeah that was not a Good idea I'd uh you know angered some Muscles I'll put it in that way in my Lower back that I'm still having to kind Of rehab and it was just me just saying Hey you know what today I feel like I'm Going to push it a little further and so I did something incorrectly that I did a Bat or incorrect movement and all that To say my Humanity my mortality my Limitations I can fill them in the sense That I realize I've got to take care of What I have and so yes weightlifting is An important part of what I do I've been Focusing on again kind of Segway into This making exercise a priority I try at A minimum every day to work out for at Least 20 minutes and if I'm busy with Work work and I've got a bunch of Activities and I'm like man I don't have A lot of time my day I'll at least try To get 20 minutes of cardio using hit High intensity interval training and I Try to keep weightlifting as a you know Central thing that I do two or three Times a week I'm trying to drop a few Extra pounds I'm carrying and it's not For Vanity's sake but just for my Overall health if you look at the charts Based on your age and your height and Your you know weight it can show you Where you are and where you need to be I Know those aren't exactly perfect but I Know for me I'm carrying a few extra

Pounds that I really should not and my Goals have been I would say they've been Changing in the last few years I've Increasingly focused more and more on Cardio and endurance as I see that as a Priority that I want to make sure that I'm in a healthy place and I would Encourage you if you aren't as well to Get out and find a way to exercise if It's just walking riding a bike do Something I would encourage you to get Out and on that note and join nature we All unfortunately get used to being Indoors more than normal over the course Of the last few years and I would Encourage you to get up out you know get Up and get outside enjoy the fresh air Uh just you can look at the studies just 20 minutes outdoors in the sun just the Benefits that come from that And regarding Mental Health I personally Went through a period of time a few Years ago where it was a bit of a bit of A strain dealing with the issues when Covet hit having to carry the weight as A father in my own household the impact That it has had on my own family Um it did take a toll on us but We've been able to find ways to come out Of that we've been able to find ways to Improve our mental health and again it's Not something that's often discussed in This community but I think it's very Important to find that balance of you

Know If you feel like your mental health is Being encroached Upon take out the Things that are negative it's taking if You decide hey I don't need to be Viewing the news as as often as I am That's okay to take a step back from That if you just want to soak focus on Preparing I've got a lot of content that Can help you with that but look it Eventually it it took me time it to find The balance and I hope you do as well And I I'm just being honest with you Here I again it's easy for me to sit Behind the camera and just have kind of A prepared message that I want to give And kind of show my personal life but I Just want to kind of feel back and pull Back the veneer for a second just show You what I deal with and how I go about Dealing with it And let me finish by saying this if you Need to take a step back again we're Going to be here when you return as I Stated earlier I feel like I'm just Warming up with this channel I'm excited About the future Um I've got a lot that I want to Accomplish over the next several years And Beyond and we'll be here if you got To take a step back I'll uh give you an Example Cliff as you probably many of You know him or you don't the urban Prepper he's a good friend of mine he's

Probably one of the nicest people I've Met one of the most sincere and honest People that you'll ever come across the Way he is on camera is the way he is When you hang out with him and he Recently shared he disappeared for a While on his channel he came back a Couple of weeks ago and did some live Hangouts and you know he shared he had To take a step back from it all I got to Be a bit much and I respect him for Doing that I think it's awesome that he Did make that decision what was best for Him and his family it's been a crazy Last year and I'm proud that he decided To do that so having said that you know Yourself best do what's best for you and Your family so here's my final word of Encouragement as I wrap this video up I Would encourage you just stay calm keep Focusing on preparing it we'll deal with The issues when they arise if you have Any thoughts or feedback feel free to Post it below anything that you feel Would help the community things that You've learned to find balance as you You know go in this journey preparedness If you've had issues with having to Guard your mental health I would love to Hear from you the community on this look I've got a great deal of respect for you We've all been through a lot over the Last several years I know many of you Came to this channel to be in covid some
