Welcome back to SOS I'm staff sergeant Badass and today this is going to be My 2023 things I think about I think This is gonna be the first one it's Going to Mark the beginning For things I think about It's all it's all falls into shtf Categories prepping categories survival Categories and I don't know whatever Else emergency preparedness I guess Would be your next one for that because A lot of this does fall into that stuff I wrote down a couple of items I wanted To talk about today and uh I think I Think I want it I think the first one I Want to get out of the way before I get In uh get too deep down the rabbit hole I think because I've got a lot of stuff Here Um It's going to be nurses I I wrote this Down it's I keep seeing while I'm on Twitter I'm On all these different platforms but uh Being on there I'm a man of service you Know I I did my time and uh ice I see These folks sharing these videos of The Tick Tock uh nurses dancing and stuff And you got some doctors joining in and Stuff and Uh my wife you all may know sippy She's an ER nurse and her background is In she does trauma major trauma Sometimes she does uh charge and things
Like that uh so she's well diverse if Any of you are are in the medical field You know what all that is she used to be An EMT and uh before that she was border Patrol and some other things but look It's a long story but we've got a long Past me and her and uh doing unusual Things that's that's how I tend to pick Be able to pick things off top of my Head like this Um She sees like I showed it to her I was Like these people are really bad Mouthing uh nurses and talking about the Pandemic and all that stuff and how uh Their behavior during all this uh just Showed they were citizens were being Played or whatever but Here's the thing like my wife says like We we don't let up around here and uh The things she sees every day it's Non-stop it doesn't they're short-handed They're short staffed they don't have Enough people they're not paying enough Especially around here and the the Short-handed staff it's it's it's Getting really bad and uh but it seems Like uh uh I don't we you know it's I Showed her that video and of these these These folks acting up and and she goes I've seen enough I don't need to see any More of that because because it's it's Disappointing because in her line of Work it's non-stop it doesn't quit and
It's very stressful and it makes Um it makes uh good nurses look bad by Seeing that sort of stuff that's the First thing that I wanted to was kind of Point out was the kind of stuff like From what she sees and we've been Through a lot and and look the nurse the Like we didn't lie to you we didn't lie To you when it comes to nurses and Doctors it's the other thing acting like You got played or something or you got Lied to or something but uh are you are A lot of you forgetting I mean we were Forced to not speak Zippy and I got a channel strike and I Don't know if any of you realize that But we had a channel strike we had to Recover from it and it took some time And it took a big blow to the channel And it messed up the algorithm pretty Bad uh recovering from that we had to Recover from gun strikes it's funny it's Another one it's uh I'll get to that one in a minute about The strikes with the gun content and Stuff like that now But we got on me we were telling people About the color code system who's Vaccinated who's not vac there's some Stuff that you folks do not know was Going on behind the scenes and you Weren't allowed to know because we Couldn't talk about it because as soon As we posted that video about some of
The little detailed things that were Involved during that whole pandemic Couple of years there All that stuff going on we weren't Allowed to talk about it and we got shut Down Um that pulled they pulled the video They literally deleted that sucker you Could not play it it was like you cannot Like I couldn't download it and like Re-edit it so that you could see it It was literally taken down and you Couldn't see now I'm not saying this is Some like cheesy everybody talks about This sort of stuff type stuff this was Straight out of the OSHA Playbook this Is straight out of her uh her books and Orders and and directives that she's uh That she's she's actually reading it Straight from the book right straight From the manual and and what's going on But we were taught it was false Information She's supposed to follow it but it was False without just throwing it out there But yeah as far as the backs and stuff Goes it's Um Like we we tried we tried talking about That stuff but we weren't allowed to and I think a lot of people are losing track Losing sight of that and we tried to Tell people but we weren't allowed to Talk we were basically uh silenced
Of freedom of speech right On any platform you weren't allowed to Talk about it so it's not just this Platform so it's other platforms uh but Uh one thing like Seeing the football players dropping Down uh like the bills player uh seeing These types of things happen I mean it's There's so many there's there's so so Many I mean they're all from the same reasons And Um it's like the the boosted by fauci Right so it's like their lives are Boosted uh because it I mean it's like Right after the boosters like my uh uh My uh we were talking about this earlier The wife and I and uh we went through a Traumatic experience last year her dad Died And it was the same Uh died suddenly type thing And it was very I mean we're still I mean we're still Hurting uh it's we're not I don't think We'll ever be over this it's it's just Too much pain to to get over it and um We had a hard time getting through it The uh but my uh my Dad now he would he didn't live the best Life But he was also fully vaccinated and he Went through the same experience he was At 58 he died
And that was just before my wife's dad Died so 58 my my uh my dad dies and then Her dad dies a similar event Um like just Instinct goes into stroking and All that stuff just so fast boom And it's no joke man I mean it's it's Happened to us this stuff has happened To us And to hear other people talk about it It's like Dude what are we gonna do it's like are We at some point I mean at some point are we all going to Team up Are we going to go put uh put fauci in a Freaking Full Nelson what are we doing I Mean there has to be some sort of I want Justice I want Justice I really do I Wish I wish there was some way that we Could all uh I mean there's there's only a matter of Time and other what are we just going to Be these folks that have these stories We're just going to be off in the Sidelines somewhere just having these Stories yeah my dad yeah my dad too and This thing it seems to be men I'm just throwing it out there seems to Be the manner that are the ones that are The same circumstances same ages I think Uh they were uh my dad was about the Same exact age as as her dad so uh most Folks don't know that happened to us but
I figured I would share But that's what the Vikes I wanted to Share and the part with the nurses It's very disgraceful as disgraceful to See that sort of behavior but most of Those staff I mean some of them I've Noticed are veterinarians that's Something that the wife noticed in the Videos it's like well those are Veterinarians those are not even you Know and and those are uh those are People that will carts and stuff they're Not like the actual people people uh but She was pointing out some of the details Of the videos like that's and that's Those are like surgeons or something Like they were closed down anyways they Weren't allowed to do special surgeries During that time so she was just sort of Pointing out some of the stuff she saw In the videos like that of course They've got all the time in the world And they're not like the hardcore Serious stuff that people are because The people were posting these videos and Saying well I waited in the lobby for a Ball that has nothing to do with the ER That's not those folks but the wait Times are bad because they're very Short-handed if you want a good career Uh but a lot of stress going go into Nursing Um But it's a good career you you don't
Lose your job for uh for showing up That's for sure Um all right so that's part of my rant Here my other part of my rant uh will go Into like the gun gun content look I Used to make a lot of gun content back In the day and uh YouTube had a cease And assist of that because and I still Wear the badge of honor for uh for being The guy uh I have my never-ending Warning stamp on my YouTube in my when I Go into my dashboard and start doing my Stuff it's like the never ending sign of Uh we're watching you kind of thing and That's that's because of the gun content And all that stuff and and this guy like Uh it's like well Um there's gun content like I can't Bring to the channel it's like well uh We would help you out with that but You're kind of a prepper Channel and Like really as well It's always these folks that like they Don't even reload like I used to I've Reloaded everything from 22 uh LR to Freaking 50 BMG all here on the channel And I've reloaded every type of shotgun Shell I've reloaded 410 uh uh you name It it's been reloaded here on the Channel just about and I've even loaded Uh the only thing I missed was uh 357 And 38 special I think that was about The two I missed but everything else had Gotten reloaded on the channel
All the calibers of the world I mean I've even done Beowulf I've done uh I Don't put blackout at one point it's Like all these different things it's Like uh nobody cares just like whatever But yeah I've had people tell me it's Like well you're not even really a gun Channel I can't be okay look kiss my Butt Um One of my rants here He's into the radios and off-roading Stuff and things like that it's like uh I look I get it guys the ones that are Into the four-wheel drive stuff Off-roading and then Um and then things kind of die down for Them and they can't really get the Publicity that they need so they start Um they start shouting that they're in The Bug Out World and Bug Out vehicles And stuff like that I get it because uh Things start to slow down and nobody's Really interested in your stuff anymore Because it's it's like off-roading uh Well you know I could watch that Anywhere so then you start changing the Title well we're gonna survive the Toughest uh but folks like that like They get into this whole Um well Lift It jacket and everything Else and off-road it but it's like the Snap-on kits I mean it's like literally My wife says a lot of folks that she
Knows that have gotten these Gladiators Are getting rid of them that they want Trucks uh it's like real trucks because They see that atmosphere and they just Get rid of it it's like uh well it just Doesn't do anything that I needed to do And um It's like someone was asking why did you Get the the full-size monster truck it's Like well I I did that because and then I go with this because it's like size Tires I stay with the 33 32 range or uh Um if you gotta like in anything that's Like uh for those of you four drivers uh 30 the the 350s the 250s uh I mean with Ram I mean the 25s and the 35s and the Same with the Chevy and everybody else So I mean those rim and tire size Packages that come with those vehicles Uh in the off-road category are the best For uh over Landing because they're Already available you can just go to the Store and buy them you know it's just Any store you can pick them up so shtf I Always stick with that plan that's what I keep telling everyone and everyone's Like well I don't get it well you will Get it when you need parts or supplies Or something if it's not ready available If you get some wonky donkey thing that Doesn't freaking cut cut the mustard During shtf and then all of a sudden you Need parts They're probably not going to be
Available and you're going to be left High and dry trying to figure out your Life The uh It's like me I'm doing like just a Freaking camper insert into a freaking Uh 2500 that's what I'm doing I'm Keeping it simple everything I'm doing Is as simple as can be everything's Hardwired I'll give you guys an update Into this because it's getting pretty Ridiculous Everything's hardwired and Uh that's the other thing like I Mentioned helpful hints because I've Been doing this bov stuff for a while And those of you that have been watching The channel for a while know this but Trying to help these other cats I like Dude uh Midland is my thing Midland is my thing I've been working with Midland for over A year uh I think I pretty much have Every single radio from Midland and all Of my vehicles have Midland and I went With them for the gmrl gmrs route now Present radios for the uh dual purpose You want CB and you want I can talk About this stuff all day for CB and am And FM let's just say that let's keep it Short if you want ham and you want CB uh Citizen band you can do both in one Radio from them and that's what I did With the wife's Jeep she got in a car
Accident and lost her car so we that's Just a recap for you some jack wagon ran Out in front of her and totaled her Vehicle uh So for her Jeep uh uh we kept it simple With everything and uh she's happy with That because it's uh dual purpose you Got your am your fm and your radio all In one thing and it's all hardwired it Needs to be hardwired one of these days You're going to want your cigarette Lighter for something but that's not the Reason I tell people to hardwire a Hardwire I had this this is once again It's excuse me I had to park there this Goes back to Folks it's like uh want to question the Creator person the guy who makes stuff And does things all the time so one of The things I can tell you is uh whether Anything is like 50 watt uh I mean I'll Be honest with you anything that's if Your radio Is in the uh I would say 25 watt even 20. I would hardwire it don't do cigarette Lighter it's not going to perform you're Going to be transmitting no one's going To hear you it's not going to be the Same world unless you hardwired you Should Hardware I've got one of those Midland it converts to a walkie-talkie But it's meant to plug into a I can't Remember the title of it don't ask me
It's a bunch of numbers but uh Plugs in the cigarette lighter and you Can convert it into a walkie-talkie and Carry it around but it's a CB as well Uh that I've hardwired it and I've Hardwired everything and I've still got My cigarette lighter it's right there Um I I did all this I've got my uh power Inverter it's all hardwired everything's Hardware I can go and do work by the bar And just click on the power inverter Turn on all my radios trucks running That kind of thing my little diesel Generator right here you know right in The palm of my hands uh right by the Side of the anyway nevermind but All this stuff is done for a reason like You don't want it's like look what I did I got uh you know It's youngins you know it's like look What I did it you just take your you Can't you can't take a 50 what like a 575 or something like that you can't Just shove it into the cigarette lighter Inspect it to work you're not going to Be broadcasting anywhere No One's Gonna Hear You not the range that you need You're not gonna it's not gonna get the Performance why would you spend 500 on Something and not get the performance Out of it it doesn't matter it if you're Going to spend that much money on a high Quality radio you want the best and you Want to be able to use it in an
Emergency and you want to build a chat With your buddies out in the field yeah You can do that you know if they're your Buddies like the next car up get a Walkie-talkie uh but you don't spend That much money on a high performance Radio and then just plug it in your Cigarette lighter it doesn't make any Sense but it's not going to get the same Performance and you've got to have that It's like that 13.5 output that 13 Point Uh and sometimes it just says 13 but it Just depends on your your battery Situation your charge rates and stuff so Just hardwired I mean you've got a fuse Panel and you'll have an ax an ACC like An X an alternative power source type Thing if you want you want my extra Power source you want to uh the straight To the uh straight to your ignition so You wire it in straight to ignition and Leave it turned off and then when you Need it when you're driving down the Road you just turn it on uh don't hook It direct to the battery unless you Absolutely positively have to Um you don't want to do that and if you Do then leave it off and some cases with The Jeep guys out there like your newer Jeeps running things through the Firewall is kind of a pain in the butt You can go through your uh rubber Grommets in the floor if you need to for Those and same with trucks uh your
Rubber grommet and the floor you can Reseal those up and nobody will ever Know uh but at least it at least it's Wired correctly and it's hooked up you Know hooked up adequately and it's not Jacked up so I'll just keep that in mind The other other thing I wanted to talk About for the last little minute here is Just batteries emergency preparedness Tornadoes we're getting tornadoes in Freaking winter what is that uh Wintertime tornadoes you're getting all These storms I mean we got we got hit Pretty hard with a zero degree Temperature type thing here and and my Neck of the woods it's kind of unheard Of so a lot of things were very uh uh Challenged especially For Animals it's Just animals Everything else was perfectly fine and And hunky-dory but the animals were the Biggest part and uh the rolling Blackouts that happened because of the Freaking uh You got like uh all these different Situations they're like they're like Don't bother contacting us from the Power grid we're like uh that says we're Uh we're gonna be experiencing blackouts For all all winners like okay all right Well we got it we have blackouts since We didn't care though because we have Backup back up everything for us because It's being stuck out here you've got to
Have those alternative things Alternative sources but uh Uh the one thing that I would I would Say is that uh for all this the hard Sales on stuff you know people that Would push uh they always push like uh Your uh your Olight batteries and stuff Like your OLED flashlights and stuff Like that and see there I quit doing That only because I don't like the uh Magnetic power source but the other Thing is I don't like to promote a lot Of rechargeable stuff here I don't like Doing it uh in the back of my mind I'm Thinking I hope the subscriber or person Listening to me is you know they they're All the same sheet of music as me They're like that's cool but what Happens when it goes dead and you've Gotta you gotta be thinking like that For every situation I still do batteries You know I still do packs of batteries Cheap batteries you know you go to like Harbor Freight and get like stacks of Batteries I'm still that guy that does That stuff so don't get me wrong when I Make a video and I'm like check out this Rechargeable battery Uh act now But now before you start things like oh Man he's going to sell us on on another Flashlight or something like don't don't Think like that it's uh they're great But you better make sure you recharge
Every one of them before storm hits so That's just one more thing to worry About it's like make sure you keep all Your batteries charged charged charged Charged uh some of these things that I That I charge I keep them plugged in and They stay charging on a uh oh they cut Off on their own and they just starts Kind of like my uh uh for my DeWalt all My battery sources I keep all those Things going all the time all my extras I just keep them on the charger and when They're charged or charged if they die Down then they can just charge back up Again so but a lot of those things like Like that but What are you going to do when your Little battery dies you know it's always Those little things that you recharge Those little flashlights and then the Power won't work in them when you need Them and it's great to have all these Portable power stations it's great I I've got a whole slim I got to make a Video about I got my lineup for this Year already started and I've got a Bunch of cool stuff to show you but uh One of the things I was thinking about While doing this portal power sources Uh how reliable are they it's like when They die what do you do then well what If you're in the winter solar power Doesn't really work charging batteries In the wintertime is a
You know what I mean everybody knows That and if you've got a rechargeable Car Everybody knows those batteries they Have to be in a certain warmth in order To take on a charge they don't charge People are seeing that and they're like Oh man you environmentalist but this has Nothing to do with global warming you Know that anyways but I hope this helps I know I'm just ranting and talking I Think more of it was just my I wanted to Do kind of a rant this is more of the Things I think about but I have much More to talk about but my time is Starting to get way too extended and You're going to want to turn it off soon All right God bless you guys please Share subscribe if you haven't already Uh God bless you guys and take care
